We have an ambition to become a Net Zero company by 2040.

We are looking to work with organisations who have a shared ambition to reduce our environmental impact globally, and particularly those who have demonstrated this commitment through setting science-based targets.  

Our key suppliers are required to make their own public commitments to Net Zero.

Making progress against our ambitions

In support of our Group Net Zero by 2040 ambition, we met our near‑term ambition for 70% of our suppliers by spend to have set validated science-based targets by year-end 2025.

Tracking and measuring

We continue to track and measure the proportion of our supply chain that have validated science‑based targets.

Training our buyers

We are continually upskilling our buyers to equip them with the knowledge and confidence to engage suppliers on sustainability.

Changing our contracts

We embed sustainability‑focused clauses into all our contracts to strengthen our sustainability expectations and drive accountability across our supply chain.

RFP questions

We integrate sustainability‑focused questions into all RFP and RFI processes, ensuring sustainability is considered in procurement decisions.

Onboarding questions

We include sustainability-focused questions in all supplier onboarding processes to help assess new partners against our sustainability expectations.

Supplier engagement activities

We work closely with suppliers to communicate our Net Zero and wider sustainability agenda and encourage them to develop their own ambitions.

On the 19^th November 2025, we hosted the Aviva Supplier Summit in our London HQ. The event is all about aligning on strategic goals, sharing perspectives, and strengthening partnerships.
